I marked currently reading, even though I "finished" this book, because I know I will keep coming back to these beautiful poems. In both English and Spanish -- and sometimes a fluid mix of the two -- they evoke the mountains of Chile, the exquisite pain of a writer longing to write, or longing to give it up, childhood, motherhood, and lots of women's secrets rarely uttered. Romo-Carmona has an uncanny ability to reach into your own innermost thoughts and conjure them up on paper -- as if she had I marked currently reading, even though I "finished" this book, because I know I will keep coming back to these beautiful poems.
