While some may not get into the story, fans of 80s slasher films like Happy Birthday to Me or April Fools Day will find some enjoyment in it. The film also features some great cameos by known horror stars such as Kane Hodder of the late Friday the 13th films and the Hatchet trilogy, as well as a cameo by the director herself in a very big nod to her early Halloween days that will please fans. The film isn't exactly a slasher and sometimes pales because of it, but it has a slasher feel to it.
The characters aren't exactly the most likable either, but it's comical watching these characters interact with each other.

While the advice is wonderful for younger women, it's inspiring and honest and fresh and REAL for every woman. Would that anyone had told me these things when I was younger. One for you and one for your friend. Buy one for your niece, your sister the girl next door. If every woman in the world read this book, the light from all the extraordinary women would be overwhelming. I can't wait to see it.

It's frank, direct, and refreshing to read in a society where too often we tiptoe around useful discussions about health, sexuality, and life as a girl. Also, it's a quick and accessible read, so I think it's perfect for the target ages - although anyone can get something out of it!
This book is a really amazing gift and resource for any young person, especially young girl in your life.
