Even if you are not a reader of classics and Church Fathers, there is certainly something to be gained from Augustine's Catechetical instructions; you may be surprised to find just how much of his advice and encouragement still applies today. As always, Augustine writes in a compassionate, personal tone, as if speaking to the reader one-on-one.

About Augustine of Hippo. Austin, was bishop of Hippo Regius present-day Annaba, Algeria. He was a Latin philosopher and theologian from the Africa Province of the Roman Empire and is generally considered as one of the greatest Christian thinkers of all times.
