The Complete Guide to Gunsmithing. The table of contents will tell you the story. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I jumped right into my pdf version of the book to specifically find my weapons. Finding both of them was relatively easy and straight-forward so no problem. The information appears to be very factual and I had no problems following the steps to properly assemble and disassemble my XDm and my Beretta.

Only ding is the pdf version itself. While I can zoom in or out with the pdf version a plus not having an old, oil-soaked book on my shop bench is just not the same. Difficult keeping the gun oil off the laptop keys. One person found this helpful. This a great book that covers the basics of many styles of firearms. The cross rerefence index is most useful as many pistols use the same basic mechanics. The illustrations and descriptions are also good. It does not include exploded diagrams or parts lists.

This is a must have for revolver owners and anyone just curious about how semi-automatic pistols are assembled and disassembled. I have owned several of the pistols included and have always been curious about others I may never own or even handle.

It included the most popular guns and some of the antique rare ones, like the famous German Luger P. If this review looks familiar, it is! I also bought the Revolver version. This book has just about it all. I needed a Astra blow up diagram and there it was. I use it all the time and it is easy to read.

Great book, only thing that will make you need to buy a new one is a few years of new models on the market.

I found it had the hard to find schematics for certain pistol I couldn't find in other similar texts. This book worked just fine. I bought it for just one pistol that I have which was totally disassembled and I didn't know how to reassemble it. I found it, it was a little vague but I figured it out without too much trouble.

I had written the firearm manufacture back in late December then again in mid January and still no response yet, so this book came in and I got the information I needed and went to work. Good book, Check it out. For anyone who may do auto-pistol repair, a complete cleaning, or resurrection of a neglected piece with life left in it.
