Please try again later. We bought a few of the books in this series to help our son make a better choice when he is in school, after he struggled with the structured routine of the pre-k classroom. Every now and then we will read a few of the books in the series and he always tells me something that his teacher tells him or one of his peers in his class to do instead of making a poor choice behavior wise. I would recommend any of the books in this series to read to your children and it gives you a positive way to help teach any child how to make good choices based on any situation.
The favorite one to read to our boys at this time is the one about sharing and taking turns, with 3 little ones in the house all under the age of 6 it can get a bit difficult for them to share their toys in a friendly manner. There are books that are age appropriate for toddlers and for elementary age kids to learn from these books, but we just bought the books for the older kids when our son was 3 years ago.
Some of the content was a bit too mature for him, so we just improvised and shared the most important parts of each page of the books until he was old enough to comprehend the actual story that is written in each of the books that we own from this series. Even using the pictures in the books can lead to many conversations about how to make good choices when you are at either at school or at home. These books are great tools to help a parent promote language development, while teaching our young ones about making good choices wherever they may be every single day.
These books are great for teaching social skills to preschool and kindergarten!
Love the pictures and graphics. I recently purchased a number of the books from these series and they are going over very well with the preschoolers I counsel. The stories themselves are written like social stories, instructing children how to handle certain social situations from a first person account. The books are very simple and straightforward. The text is brief and direct. The illustrations are relate-able and engaging and support the concepts very well. The children tend to look at the pictures and ask relevant questions--they notice the facial expressions and other details and make appropriate inferences.

Each book has a guide for adults that has very useful suggestions for expanding discussion and for extension activities and games. I tend not to use those sections in other books, because I don't always see their usefulness, but these books seem include very relevant and helpful tips that I do intend to use. I am looking forward to buying even more of the books from this series! Kindle Edition Verified Purchase.
I just made this purchase because I'm having a very frustrating time with my son's hitting "phase" - whatever the cause - and this goes against the rules at home and at daycare. This certainly covers why things are done the way in a very general manner, but simple enough for a 4 year old to understand. This is 1 of 4 different books I purchased that will be part of the daily story time routine until I see improvement in several areas. I'm also very pleased that it's available on Kindle and Kindle apps for all my devices to use!

I have a 5 year old in kindergarten and I think it is important for kids to know and follow rules to be safe. We live in an uncertain world. If kids know what is expected of them at home and in school. This book helps kids understand what you are trying to teach them on their level. My child also loves to read and this book was other opportunity to teach her how following the rules will effect her life in the future.
Teaching them early on their level they will always remember. So I love this book she can always pick it up gain and again. Read this with my preschool age day care classroom while we were learning about classroom behavior expectations. The language was perfect for the age group 3. The examples also fit into the classroom structure and activities. The children enjoyed the story and it did not appear to be too dry as some similar books can be. The author and illustrator did a wonderful job.
I bought a couple of them together. Simple and fun way of teaching some very important fundamentals that I believe will help a child in getting along with others and knowing what behavior is acceptable and what is not.
The artwork is great. Very simple, appealing to the eye, colorful. Not too many words but just enough. Love that they have kids of all different ethnicity and ability for example, a little girl in a wheelchair. Would highly recommend this series!!!! This is another book that is good for school. This book is read in my friends first grade class in order to help the children understand how important it is to follow the rules. May 21, Kimberly rated it really liked it.
