This enjoyable story of an unexpected pregnancy between very independent ginger-haired Flora and sexy tycoon Angelo was sweet and spicy. There was a couple of unexpected twists, and amazing dialogue. The best part is Flora didn't allow Angelo to walk all over her, and she didn't back down.

Angelo was honest and fair, and it was nice to see him out of his depth with Flora. Both were likeable characters, and there was an undertone of humor Wow, it is so easy to gobble these HP books up like candy! Both were likeable characters, and there was an undertone of humor with Flora's pets. Their little niece, Mariska, is the perfect touch in helping to cement their relationship. If I had to say anything, it would be Flora tumbled into bed with Angelo rather easily and quickly but considering their mutual loss, it would be the thing to knock her off her guard.

This is book two in a trio but it can be read as a stand-alone. Enjoyable, sexy and interesting to the end. Oct 04, Jacqueline rated it it was ok Shelves: It was more tell than show. The plot was not real tight and the scene where the heroine finds out that the hero thought she was a gold digger did not really hang together well. I didn't really care about either main character.

The Flora and Angelo are forced together to care for their nine month old niece when both her parents die in a car crash. But things change when a quick shag on a houseboat leads to Flora becoming pregnant. There is a lot of animosity between Flora and Angelo. He believes she is a gold digging tramp and she finds him a controlling man whore. They both allow their past experiences to color the way they view each other, causing lots of unnecessary drama. I liked the way Flor A very enjoyable read.

I liked the way Flora stood up to Angelo. It shocked him that a woman would speak to him with such open hostility. He is used to women kowtowing to him. However, learning that she was pregnant with multiples forced her into accepting assistance from Angelo. It was a hard thing to do but she opted to try to work with him because of the babies. The problems came when she found out what he really thought about her.

She was shattered and swore to keep her distance even though she loved him. I liked how Angelo humbled himself at the end. He was a pretty straightforward guy, and you could tell that the distance between he and Flora was killing him. His big confession of love was sweet and Flora kinda made him work for that HEA. Pretty ho-hum, this plot has been done a bajillion times and this story didn't add anything new the triplet angle didn't really affect the story.

I like Lynne Graham in general, but the emotion wasn't there in this one. Surprisingly for Angelo, Flora initially refuses all offer of assistance, not in character for a gold-digger. But he finally gets her to live with him, and for a brief time, back into his bed. But once Flora learns of Angelo's real opinion of her, she won't want to be with him for long. This was kind of take it or leave it. It started out kind of strong with the chemistry between the characters. Angelo was a decent guy for the most part, not an asshat hero at all, and he had a lot of patience for Flora and her temper.

But Flora's falling in love with Angelo was way too out of the blue. They had sex once after months of disliking and never seeing each other, then they spend more time apart with Angelo nagging her and Flora avoiding, then after he finds out she's pregnant they spend even more time actively disliking and avoiding one another, then they get back together and spend one night together.

After the orgasm passes, she realizes she loves him. And a big Why? Her mental explanation for it was not convincing.

So after the big reveal about his opinions about Flora, they spend the rest of the book pretty much not interacting at least not on the page and living together like monks. Several months later, Angelo admits that he loves her. I was also somewhat disappointed that, because Flora was 7 months pregnant with triplets and on bed rest when the conclusion came about, they couldn't make love.

They'd basically just gone 5 months without sex and now that they'd made up and admitted their love, they couldn't have sex again for at least 2 or 3 more months. It was good as I expected, but somewhat different from what I know of Ms. It was very entertaining and had more of a male spin included. Again when I completed I thought it was Good and Cute! I Loved this book! Usually most heros in all harlequin book are tough and somtimes the heroines are just as strong Lynne Graham at her best.

Found the story line captivating. The unexpected pregnancy was a bonus gift in the overall effect of book. Nice twist to the story. See all 12 reviews. Most recent customer reviews.
