While some in the set are better than others, there is always one or two things that you can count on in the 'Brac Pack'. There is always going to be some humor somewhere, and on occasion it's quite frequent. The other thing is some sort of dramatic conflict is always present.

Now don't get me wrong, just as some books are better than others, the same is to be said for the conflict. It can be totally engrossing, captivating and have you chomping at the bit to get thru it and other times its more of a mild disagreement type problem that could've really been solved by talking to each other. Having said that this book is somewhere in between both of those.

It has its moments of humor and drama too, it is sexy and exciting in places and in some parts you just say Aaaahhhhh! Grow up already and talk to each other!!

I don't know if this type of review will help you decide to read it or not, but I will tell you this, DO NOT read this as the first taste of this series. If you haven't read any of the Brac pack, I encourage you to start from the very beginning. It is so much more fun and easy to read that way.

I do recommend this book as a follow up in the series and am still looking forward to finishing all of Ms. I had kind of burned out on writing reviews then realized one should write about what you love. I read tons of books, tons and tons A lot of Lynn Hagen books are like that to me, and this is one of my favorites of the entire Brac Pac series. He's a neat guy. Dr Nicholas Sheehan is that rare breed of doctor who actually cares more about his patients than his social position. The two come together like storm clouds crashing into a big sexy thunderstorm.

The author can write about the rich and the poor with equal skill, and her returning characters are fun whether you read the books in order or not. I rather enjoyed reading the Brac series out of order, as I fit pieces together like a puzzle, but it works well in order too for you more methodical types.

The Timber Wolves, like Maverick's pack which Nicholas is sent to, are reportedly a subspecies of the Grey Wolf or the same thing, incidentally, although presented as a larger, tougher species in the story. Wolves are generally an endangered species, so let's pause a moment to care about habitat destruction. I always wonder why werewolves would drive giant gas-guzzling trucks. They should be driving electric cars to preserve the environment, but that wouldn't be as manly I love this series.

The books are great stories but also give insight to people with everyday issues.

This story was definitely the steamiest so far. These two get so caught up in each other they just forget where they are. All the other mates in the den start following them around hoping for a peep show. I have no problem with that.
