The dragon is no problem for PI Stacy Alexander. This story has a happy ending with Stacy and the Prince exchanging a kiss This story is really funny stuff. It could almost be material for a stand-up comedy routine. The comedy stems from the encounters that PI Alexander has with the characters and situations from the imaginary world of dragons and fairies. The entire book can be read in ten minutes or less and I promise you will find yourself grinning and shaking your head at the silliness of this story.
It is an entertaining tale for the young at heart. This book is not recommended for young children because of references to adult topics street gangs, drinking alcohol, smoking weed, etc.
What a fun read! A Modern detective thrown into a fairy-tale world with enough romance thrown in to satisfy us HEA fanatics. This book is about a detective who is hired by a king to rescue the prince from the dragon.
She expects the king to refer it as his son who he calls a prince is kidnapped by a street gang. But she finds something totally astonishing. I loved this story! I like the fairy tale theme with the little story's I heard as a child. The three little pigs as construction workers fits. Cute twist on fairy tales.
I can't wait to read more about them. A goofy little story for when you're in a goofy little mood. I thought this was a childrens book, and I'm pretty sure it is marketed as a childrens book for the Nook. Not sure why a children's book would have referneced to smoking weed though? The book is about a detective who goes to meet a client and she falls into this "other world" where the client is a king who is trying to find his missing son the prince. The story has a bunch of fairy tale themes includes the 3 little pigs and Mary had a little lamb.

Detective Stacye ends up finding the price and when she rescues him he says that she is now his true love. I was a bit confused while reading it, since she seems to be in an alternate place rather than reality. I kept expecting her to wake up at the end as though she was dreaming. Not my favorite read, but quick and somewhat painless to finish. Cute , little , humourous story that was really short. I'm confused as to what age group is the intended audience. I came across it on Kindle in the childrens book section.

The "fractured fairy tale" is pretty well-established subgenre at this point and Lanier doesn't bring anything new to it.
Her heroine's bravado comes off as totally fake and the main theme of the book is how hot the prince is. The constant reminders of how attractive he is are so blandly expressive and repetitive, especially since there doesn't seem to be anything else to their relationship. Too many jokes in the series depend on the heroine's knowledge of fairy tale characters and situations and this fatally compromises the mystery and makes me question her intelligence since she spends most of the story chasing down false leads.
