The archers have bitterly grieved, shot at him and hated him. By the God of your father who will help you, and by the Almighty who will bless you, with blessings of the heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb. The blessings of your father have excelled the blessings of my ancestors, up to the bound of the everlasting hills.
Blessings that rest upon the one who was the prince among his brothers, is how one translation puts it. Dreams come to all — many a time they are a colorful fantasy, where impossible wishes come true! But when it is a dream from God, it is powerful; and pursuing it without giving up will determine whether you walk into your God ordained destiny. It was a dream from God, signifying his future, where he would be lifted up, to be above his brothers. It was not surprising therefore, that his brothers hated him when he narrated it to them.
His second dream troubled even his father Jacob, though Joseph was his beloved son. But he kept it in his heart without voicing it. What were those powerful dreams that disturbed the hearts of the ones who heard it? The civil rights movement in America began with these words spoken by the man of God, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. And though his own life ended tragically, much came to be accomplished in society through it.
Therefore, a dream that remains just a dream is not significant. It has to make a positive impact to bring about transformation in and around you. There is a distinct difference between the above two. For there are plenty of good ideas in the world, genuinely well motivated, that men come up with, in order to alleviate the suffering in the world. But, you and I are not mere men and women; we are by the grace of God much more than that — we are children of the One True Living God. And it is when you receive from Him, His dream, His idea or vision, that blessing can flow into you to bring about a transformation.
It takes place in you when the out working of His dream for your life happens, and it becomes a reality. God wants to meet your need in a wholesome manner; He addresses all areas of your life to make you complete. And it cannot happen without having a relationship with Him. Everything from Him comes to you through a relationship. And this problem will be around until Christ returns! Man has to now choose to enthrone God in his heart. For, it is the idea from Him, what God thinks about a troubling situation, which will bring about a true, lasting and complete change for the good.
It was not an ordinary dream. Joseph was still a young boy, when God gave him the dream. It shows why the Bible teaches that it is vitally important to remember the Creator in your youth. For, when you receive His dream, His plan for your life in your youth, a whole life of blessing lies ahead of you. Godly vision is always connected to godly prosperity — it is the provision that comes to you from God, in order to fulfill His purposes for your life.
And making it your life experience too is possible.
Dreams and Visions: God Uncensored
It is in the words of the prophet Joel, the very passage of scripture that Peter stood up to proclaim on the day of the Pentecost. The word of the prophet was fulfilled that day in the Upper Room as the church was born. Today, you and I are the church, with the Spirit in us and His anointing upon us.
Prophesy is a telling forth of what God speaks into your heart; it is not limited to foretelling alone. His word in your mouth is prophesy, a telling forth. And Beta consciousness is our primary mode for accurately perceiving physical reality.
But because your brain has shifted into Theta consciousness, you simultaneously perceive psychic reality. That means you should always start by analyzing what the images, words and symbols mean to you personally. The temptation can be strong to take visions literally, disregarding their subjective dimension. Taking a vision literally is equivalent to recording a dream in painstaking detail, then never bothering to analyze it.
You miss the message. Remember this, from The Language of Dreams: Often, the things we say we believe and the things we actually believe are not the same.
We must understand that it is not the truths that we believe in our head that are our core values, but rather the ones we believe in our heart. The things we perceive to be true determine the way we respond to the world around us and to God who lives within us. These core values also help define the part of the flock that we find ourselves called and attracted to. The children of Israel experienced this principle when they came into the Promised Land.
Find Peace with God. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. It adds nothing to the discussion and only causes strife. His arm is not too shortened to save. True Godly vision consists of foresight, insight and oversight that come from His sight. Foresight is like looking at life through a telescope. This outlook allows us to know what is ahead as it connects us to our future.

Foresight is the element of vision that helps life make sense and gives us the motivation that we described earlier. Insight is like viewing life through a microscope. This perception gives us an understanding of why things happen in life. It also helps determine the underlying motivations of the heart. Oversight puts life into context.
How Can You Tell If Your Dream Is From God?
It is like flying over our house in a helicopter. There is a perspective that we can only receive from this vista that helps us understand where we are with respect to where everything else is. The sons of Issachar are great examples of this kind of vision. The book of I Chronicles says that these men understood the times and had knowledge of what Israel should do People that are blessed with this type of vision often have great wisdom concerning the seasons of life.
His sight assures us that the vision we have is from God. A vision from the Lord creates a mission from heaven. This is illustrated in the life of Moses when he went up on the mountain, received a vision of the tabernacle, and was told to construct it according to the pattern that he had received.
A lot of people have lofty ideas about things they would like to accomplish for God but they seem to have no sense of how to see the dream fulfilled.
There are entire books dedicated to this subject, therefore, I will just give an overview of how to accomplish a vision. The first part of accomplishing any vision is to take it from the unseen world and bring it into the natural realm. This can be accomplished by simply writing down the vision. Articulating the vision on paper pulls the dream that is in your spirit that no one can see but you into the visible world so that others can capture it in their own hearts. Tools that help to visualize the mission such as architectural drawings, models, testimonies of others who have accomplished similar dreams, or visits to places that have a common purpose are all helpful in capturing and defining the vision for both yourself and others who will come alongside and help.
For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail.
