I was surprised that he picked it up on his own when I left it out and read through several of the chapters right away. It caught his interest and kept it. I like the format of the book, each chapter topic is relevant to today's teens and has a story or situation that is relatable, then goes further in to asking some in-depth, thought provoking questions that are great for a parent-child conversation.

It is a quick read, full of wisdom and insight. I hope my boys will take the information and use it! I am a youth pastor and substitute teach in a public school. I read this while subbing and some students asked what I was reading. I was able to use the section I was reading to share how a stranger had found a teen online by using their social media. It led to a short, but poignant talk about privacy settings on our social media pages. It may seem simple and obvious to us as adults, but teens need those reminders or to learn about it for the first time.

My suggestion - buy 2 copies. Get one for you as a parent and one for your teen. Commit to reading 1 or 2 tips a week and discussing them over dinner. It can be a good way to learn where your teen is at and an opportunity to share from your experiences. An excellent resource with some very simple reading, ever for those of us who are a little slower at reading.

Jonathan does a great job communicating the realities of the benefits and downfalls found in social media in a practical and engaging way. It is funny and witty but also cuts to the quick on today's most used avenue of communication for teens. McKee is an expert in this area and communicates wonderfully. Once again, Jonathan hits the nail on the head!! This book is a must read for any parent, youth worker, or student.

It's practical, informative, and as always It will be my "go-to" for anyone asking questions about how to handle social media in the teenage world. My son who doesn't even have an electronic device and only has IG is really enjoying this. Very well written and keeps their interest. I like this book. There is some religious info in it but it doesn't offend me in any way.

Mama Kim and Nick and Jeremy I love y'all I am so sorry for the passing of Ashley I am gonna miss Ashley like crazy but she is now at peace without no pain. Allen I know Ashley loved you very much I am praying for y'all God placed his arms around you and lifted you to rest, God's Garden must be beautiful he only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get Well on Earth again. The path before was difficult so he closed your tired eyes, and whispered "Peace Be Thine" and gave you wings so you could fly.

Lying so peaceful and calm and free of any pain. We would not wish you back to Earth to suffer once again. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide. You knew exactly what you wanted, God to rule your life and to allow you to shine for him. And boy did you shine! You shone so bright you always were so brighter than the sun. You touched my life and taught me so much. No katter what obstacles were thriwn at you, you smiled through them with such grace. Throughout your battle with cancer, you continued to honor God. Everyone prayed for your healing and God's will. Well to our not understanding, God did heal you from cancer, it just wasn't in the way we the people left behind wanted.

It was his will. You accomplished so much in just a short 29 years, so much more than a lot of people who have lived 3 times longer.

We just have to try to understand that God wanted your bright light to now shine beside him now. We truly need you as much now as we have the past 29 years.
