The other point being that even if you arent in on the Jesse James legend you know from Chapter one that by Chapter 12 that Jesse and Frank will be excused of their misdeeds and free to ride again in Frank and Jesse James.

As much as I admire Clayton Moore, this came across as another[abet very good] western serial. I really like this one, mainly because of the unusual Jesse James character.
With Clayton Moore playing Jesse, and solid folks like Linda Stirling as the heroine, and Tristram Coffin and Roy Barcroft as the villains, it is top of the line despite the stock footage and occasional low-budget trappings. Adventures of Frank and Jesse James is another Republic serial. This one has Frank in it Steve Darrell. It has the same plot: Frank and Jesse have to catch them and stop this naughtiness. There are collapsing mines, exploding bombs, and runaway coaches.
