A very fun read especially for the Kindle price. Oct 19, Stacy rated it liked it. Not up to Katie's usual work, but a fun book overall. The story is about Cassandra Whitney. Shes's a New Woman and involved with the women's suffrage movement. It's there that she meets the St John family. As usual, for Katie MacAlister, there's romance, mystery and humor. It's basically an historical romance but it was just so overly goofy that I couldn't really ever get into the book.

Jul 12, Harriet rated it liked it Shelves: A silly, cute romance that I enjoyed in spite of several typos and a couple of plot holes. Griffin's character wasn't as well developed as it could have been, I think, but since the story is told from Cassandra's POV, I suppose that makes sense.

This book ends grim, but I was surprised by that turn in the plot. Without it it would have been less interesting. Hence the 4 stars.
