Whether you're a journal writer or not, her stories and motivations are inspirational and thought-provoking. I find myself thinking about aspects of her adventures days after I've read sections of her book, incorporating aspects of her tales with my own life to find where might find an interesting well to draw some writing ideas. Definitely worth the purchase and the read if you're tired of the standard writing books.

Andrews takes us into her journey as a writer and gives solid tools to shape working with very ethereal subject matter. A good guide for ALL writers! I have always loved Lynn Andrews writing and I really love this book on writing. I am a writer and enjoy all of her exercises and insights.

This is a great book whether you are thinking about writing a book or just want to improve the quality of your life. I loved the exercise about the shaman dance of power but of course that was the title of my first book!

Another great book by a fabulous teacher and guide. She has touched my heart ever since I first read Medicine Woman.

Andrews did provide ideas to create your own "dance" that will keep writing from being boring. Inspirational and thought provoking with intriguing exercises. Is a muse a spirit guide or some form of higher guidance? If so, how does a muse communicate with a writer? Do you have a guide looking over your shoulder as you type?
