I feel there is a need to educate people about ex-racing greyhounds. I cannot tell you how many times we've been stopped while out walking by people who ask about them - we've had people stop their cars and reverse more than a few times to ask us about the hounds.

The author is definitely an adopter of at least one greyhound and their are a ton of useful tips and greyhound knowledge packed into the story. The plot centers around Leo, a recently adopted retired greyhound who is searching for his "true" owner, a former maid to a rich Hollywood couple that actually adopted him for the publicity.
