The narrative in the book is interesting to read. The instructions aren't entirely clear. Not all of the recipes work as expected. Some of the recipes seem generic as opposed to Cuban like chicken pot pie. You can see my entire review here, where I made four random recipes for review: Mar 08, Dakota rated it liked it.
Cuban cuisine
I'm making four of these recipes this weekend, so I'll update later on how they turned out, but it looks pretty great. It's mostly pretty casual though, so if you are looking for fancier recipes I'd look elsewhere. There is a great lobster recipe that looks like it could go more high-end. I love Raquel's books!
