There is also varied use of punctuation that children in Year 3 and Year 4 should become a lot more familiar with. The sentence structure is quite detailed, but also simple in the sense that it is easy to rephrase.

However, when the remaining pot contains a winning raffle ticket that the family has lost, Tuffy has to take the moral high ground and break the pot. As this book is written from the perspective of the cat, this book could be useful in teaching children about writing from different perspectives other than their own.
The witty cat and his sarcastic remarks made this book very entertaining to read and would be effective as an independent reading book for pupils in KS2.
