Woodrow Wilson, future president of the United States, studied at the institution in , and Henry Louis Smith, a future president of the college, collaborated with his students to produce some of the first X-ray pictures in America. In addition, William P. Mills secured a Rhodes scholarship in becoming the first Davidson student to secure the renowned endowment.
By the end of the s, Davidson College had introduced several different language courses in its programs and it started to offer Bachelor of Science degrees. In , Davidson opened its campus to women, and in the s new sports buildings and residence halls were erected across the college. Today, Davidson College enrolls nearly 1, students, and with over full time staff members the student to faculty ratio remains at just eleven to one. Just had to go in and give a brief background of myself, explain how I had heard about the job, explain what my technical background was, give a few details about myself.
They were just screening me and making sure I would be able to talk to people that came in and that I could work well with other people.

Initial contact was made through e-mail, approximately a week and a half later I had a two hour telephone conversation. A week or so later I was invited to campus and went a few weeks later. I stayed on-campus and had a day and a half interview. Lots of time between interviews and had lunch with workers.

After letting people spend hours on their application process, they do this, " Due to internal reorganization we have decided not to fill the position at this time.
