Virginia Satir is well worth reading and discussing, but this may not be the best place to start, among her works. Her "People Making" might be a better choice. I loved how Satir told about the faces we have in a theatrical character! We coaches tend to tell the coachees about the faces we have but this theatre is a very good metaphor to embrace all.

Her colorful wording and inventive ideals on family therapy is clearly shown in this book. A great read for someone going into counseling. I would recommend everybody to read it. I especially liked what she said about stopping being people pleaser and be true to yourself.

This book gives a nice picture of her work. It's short and easy to read. Her writing style here is playful and easy to follow and understand. This book is awesome! Really hit home about how we each have different faces for particular people, places, etc.
