Perhaps it tries to hard; the guy transformed himself but his book seems too much of just that - apersonal transformation about himself.

Win It All: The Way to Heaven for Catholic Teens: Justin Fatica: - donnsboatshop.com

The movie came in when promised with no issues. Catholic Evangelist Justin Fatica has made it his life's mission to reach out to teens with an extremely counter-cultural message, that what matters in this life isn't money or fame or popularity, but rather living in order to get to heaven. He puts the focus where it belongs, on loving God and others and aiming for eternal life.

What does it mean to "Win it All? Those eight steps are: Fatica also includes a helpful appendix, "More Helps to Win it All" which features prayers and instructions on how to go to confession. As he states, "everyone needs to hear how important, unique and special they are. You need to hear it too: God has made you as a one and only you.

There is nothing you can do or not do that would keep God from loving you. Fatica offers practical advice. He pulls no punches. He knows that life is hard and that there are challenges and temptations at every turn.

Yet, he encourages all of us to keep our eyes on the final destination. We need to make that our priority and live life accordingly. I bought this book prior to its publishing date when Justin Fatica came to my parish in his home town, to promote and sign books. It sounded like a good book, and I had someone in mind to receive this book. When I got home, I noticed that the book was written for teenagers, and the person I wanted it for is far from a teen, so I decided to read the book myself to see if it was appropriate for this person anyway.

Product Description

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was. In fact, I think just about anyone could benefit from this book. This book was very easy reading. I could hardly put it down. The eight chapters, each chapter named for a step to help in the journey to win the Eternal Prize Heaven , are short enough to keep your attention. One of my favorite chapters was "Make Your Mess Your Message," because no one can escape having problems in this world. There was good practical advice in this chapter for everyone.

I feel this book was truly inspired by the Holy Spirit. Anyone who has heard Justin speak knows that he uses unconventional methods to get his point across.

I expected this book to be like that, but it was not at all. The reader will feel a more gentle side of Justin, and not feel the least bit intimidated. The book is not simply Justin's own thoughts. He uses stories from the Bible and quotes from scripture quite a bit, and he also uses stories from lives of the saints and other prominent people. Justin also shares stories from his own life, both before and after his conversion to Christ, and his personal witness is very powerful. At the end of each chapter, there are helpful questions you can ask yourself regarding each of the steps to "win it all" and a summary of the little steps within each chapter step.

I liked at the end of the book the examination of conscience with the list of sins to be confessed, compiled by Fr. Larry Richards author of "Be A Man" , who was instrumental in Justin's conversion, as well as the explanation of how to pray the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross, and other prayers. What I liked best about this book was how practical it was. It's a great gift idea for teens, and should be purchased for the libraries of all Catholic high schools in the country.
