Vampires and Chocolate 3: The Seven: Updated 2016 Revised Edition

Vampire Manga

They don't release their enemies, they freakin' rip their heads off! These aren't squishy, fluffy vampires and I'm growing to love that more and more. She throws herself into danger over and over and I wasn't into her at all. I did, however, love Rajmund and his second in command, Emelie. I also loved the sexual tension- this author made us wait and I adored her for it! All in all, despite its flaws, this book made me love this series even more because it showed how consistent this author can be.

I'm going right on to the 4th in the series! Jan 19, Aly is so frigging bored rated it it was amazing Shelves: Joint review with Maru My rating: We know you cant get enough of our reviews Ready to kick some review butt? Maru, what did you think of Buffalo, NY? Boring until Raj gets there. Very strange name for a city: But as you said, when Raj gets there, interesting things start to happen Maru: What did Joint review with Maru My rating: Can't make up my mind if it was in a good or a bad way Big, sexy and very lovable.

I think that covers everything: I think this gif, kinda says it all for me or maybe this one Aly: Visual, I like it! Now, for the story? What did you think of it? And yes, both of them sum it up nicely. It was ok, I loved the vamp posturing and that we got to see Cyn and Raphael. I always love it when authors give us glimpses of past characters. I didn't like the Kristof dude at all; he was so out of it and weak Maru: He just didn't know when to give it up already! The same for the sleazy con man, Blackwood or what's his name.

He was an ass! The way he profited of the poor kidnapped girl and Sarah I have no good insults for that. I have to say that I loved the sexual tension more than the actual sex Maru: I want a Raj! What was your favorite scene?

As Kana and Aki begin living together, she learns that he seeks the seven "Stigma"—magical tattoos that come with great power. Sure, she's constantly reminded of her fairy tale name, and it doesn't help that she has seven best guy friends. Despite being threatened by her, Koyomi offers his help, and introduces her to Meme Oshino, a middle-aged homeless man who helped him stop being a vampire. Apr 28, Sarah rated it really liked it Shelves: If I had not been reading an ebook version of this book I cannot guarantee what I would've done to this book. It is going to take me a couple of days to get to Sophia's book and find out what the cliffhanger is about, but there is no Way I'm leaving it longer than that!

It was sweet and I just couldn't wait to see how the author would resolve it. I was open-mouthed when I read it! And almost had a heart attack: I had to start the next book to see what happened Maru: I was like yay more Raj and Sarah, and I was super surprised!! I think we should totally start book 4 Aly: Wait a little longer, will you?

Anything else to discuss?? Side characters you liked? She was crazy and loyal and smart and totally badass! She had some of the best lines.

And she would be oh, whatever He had to say something: I think that covers everything, and we managed not to give spoilers too: Until next time minions!!! Thanks Aly for your time and snark. Right now I'm like Now that I got that out of my system Sarah has been protecting her secrets her whole adult life but now they have come back to haunt her and she has to decide what is more important, keeping them or saving a young woman's life?

Raj is a powerful Vampire with aspirations at becoming the Lord of his Sir's territory after the recent deterioration of Kryst Right now I'm like Raj is a powerful Vampire with aspirations at becoming the Lord of his Sir's territory after the recent deterioration of Krystof's power. Although he never was power hungry he understand the need for a competent ruler among his people and he isn't willing to bow to anyone again. When his master calls him home Buffalo from Mahattan, which is his territory, he knows that the time has probably come to face his Sir one last time.

Sarah and Raj will work together in searching for 4 kidnapped women and although the sexual tention and growing feelings between them will keep growing, the lies and lack of trust will drive them apart. Can they overcome their problems and be together? Let me begin by saying that I haven't disliked a heroine as much in a very long time. Sarah is weak in every meaning of the word. She has no backbone to speak of and the only time she discovers her little determination is to make a mess! I found her stupid at times view spoiler [I mean seriously, the girl wanted to get involved in a police investigation so she decided to offer her advice as a "vampire expert" when the most she knows on vamps are from romance novels and "girly conversations" with Cyn and then later when Raj didn't want her involved in a dangerous situation she decided it was a good idea to run face first in a blood bar, waiting for the first vampire to sink his teeth into her hide spoiler ] , naive almost all the time and a pain in the ass when she had no reason to be.

I seriously can't get over the fact that the same author who created a badass heroine like Cyn also created this one. But then we have Rajmund. I loved this guy. Other than the usual "she would be better without me in her life" the guy is a serius badass! He is confident but not too arrogant, funny, hot, loyal, so what's not to like in a guy like this? His one fault is that he liked Sarah in the first place!

The girl was awesome. I wish Raj was with her and not that idiot Sarah. A pity she is a lesbian and we won't have her story!: The story was exciting enough to keep me glued to the pages even though I hated the heroine so there had to be something good there. We only saw Cyn and Raphael a little bit at the beginning and then just enough to give us a slap and end the book. After reading about Sarah I thought about taking a break from the series if the next heroine is as bad as this one but the cliffhanger in the end took care of that!

Although I thought the narrator could have done a bit better with Rajmund's voice, the story was awesome as it was reading it. I definitely recommend this entire series to anyone looking for a paranormal romance of the vampire variety.

Dec 03, D. I'm the author, so I can't rate this one! Aug 31, Danielle Danniegurl rated it really liked it Shelves: RTC Review below but do we find out why there was view spoiler [ blood on Raphael's face when Cyn saw him at the end of this book hide spoiler ] is that answered in the next book? Anyways this one was. I pretty much went blind into this book. I didn't read the synopsis and I couldn't really remember the perimeters to RTC Review below but do we find out why there was view spoiler [ blood on Raphael's face when Cyn saw him at the end of this book hide spoiler ] is that answered in the next book?

I didn't read the synopsis and I couldn't really remember the perimeters to this world or the previous characters, though I remember Jabril. For some reason I think I mixed this series up with Ivan's Captive Submissive series, maybe because the covers can be similar, no idea why, which is why it took me so long to get to this book. Sarah is an interesting character because she's hiding something but it took me a while to know that she was hiding something. I really enjoyed how Rajmund and Sarah kind of organically got together.

They saw each other due to Cyn coming down to see her and cheer her up. I did have some issues in this book though. I kept wondering and wondering why she would think it wasn't real, or they were abnormal when it's common knowledge that vamps walk among them. It just didn't make sense. There issues weren't explained well because if she was known as a psychic why wouldn't her parents have listened to her and institutionalized her?

It doesn't make much rational sense and I'm still here going hmmm. He didn't want to have to take care of her and yadda yadda. What drove me nuts about their relationship was Raj's railroading high handedness with Sarah. Stay here and be the safe pretty woman. Even though she has dreams about these people, no one actually asks her what she's really seen. Raj doesn't explain WHY he'd like for her to stay put. I think it would have been a better relationship if he would explain his reasoning.

Instead he would demand her to do something they'd fight verbally and then suddenly they are making out and on their way to sex without anything from the argument being resolved. I don't like that. I'd want the explanation and so this drove me a little batty when it happened 2 more times. Like could we have a conversation? Other than that I figured out who the culprit was so very early on that I was surprised to see Raj had not investigated that further.

Dismissing this person as a weakling. Just because they are weak doesn't mean they won't try, nor does it mean that they should be dismissed. I was disappointed in the bad guy and the lack of explanations on exactly what he was trying to achieve. I suspect more of that will be coming out in subsequent books. I do want to know about my original spoiler from before I wrote my review. Is that going to be answered in Sophia's book or is it in a novella? Dec 06, Fangs for the Fantasy rated it it was ok. To be absolutely fair to D.

Reynolds, I am going to say upfront that I am not a fan of paranormal romance. In Rajmond, the protagonist changes from Cynthia to her friend Sarah. I wish I could tell you that this improved the already disastrous series. Sarah is haunted by her past. As a young girl, when she began dreaming about women being abused and trying to help the police, her parents thought that she was crazy, To be absolutely fair to D.

As a young girl, when she began dreaming about women being abused and trying to help the police, her parents thought that she was crazy, and so they had her institutionalized. After reaching the age of 18, she created a new identity, and worked two jobs to get an education to put her past behind her. When she finally achieves her dream and becomes a professor Cuny in Buffalo, the dreams return, turning her peaceful life into a nightmare.

Sensing that something is not quite right with her friend, Cyn invites Sarah to meet in her in Manhattan for a weekend of fun and shopping, after getting Raphael's permission, 'cause of course, grown women property cannot travel without supervision. But it is not a simple matter for me or my mate to travel to another's territory. Of course this controlling shit is justified, because he is a master vampire after all.

I suppose we should be thankful, because without his permission, there would have been no way to create a situation in which Cyn, introduces her friend Sarah to Raj. While the trip to New York, is social for Cyn, for Raphael it's business, and so he sends the little women away so that he can confer with Raj. They come straight to the point, and Raj tells Raphael that his master, who just happens to reside in Buffalo nope, not contrived its supposedly happenstance , no longer has the strength to take care of the vampires in his territory, and that he is considering challenging him for leadership.

When their business is concluded, Raj and Sarah hit the dance floor, where she gets lost in the pheromones and begins fantasizing about sex right on the spot. We learn later that Sarah is highly susceptible to vamp pheromones. This fact alone should make Sarah question her ongoing attraction to Raj, given that he is patronizing from the moment that he meets her, referring to her as "little one" and is arrogant beyond belief, but that would have invested Sarah with agency, and we simply cannot have that unless she is setting herself up to be saved or planning a beautiful night time wedding.

Love this series, Still kicking myself for not reading it back to back!! It is going to take me a couple of days to get to Sophia's book and find out what the cliffhanger is about, but there is no Way I'm leaving it longer than that! I have found a new book boyfriend in Rajmund, Sarah is one lucky girl! He returned to his perusal of Love this series, Still kicking myself for not reading it back to back!! He returned to his perusal of the street below with a disgusted curse. He hated that formal vampire shit and Em knew it.

Raj gave Emelie a pained look and gazed down at the perfectly straight line of pale scalp down the middle of Angel's dark head. He hated this vampire shit.

Glad it was only the one! Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Of all the Vampires in America books, this one was the only one I can't recommend and put down after a very short while. She is so much better than this, and proved it by going back to the books as they were, which were wonderful. In this book the main character is basically a rapist that takes liberties with a part of the body that should never be violated without asking first. But I suppose that's the description of rapist so that's probably redundant. If you enjoy rough, not necessarily consensual, take advantage of innocence type sex then this book is for you.

However, if rape of an innocent turning into a kind of Stockholm scenario of only knowing and therefore embracing what's taught by your first and only isn't your cup of tea, you can skip this one and still have a sense of who Aden is as a leader and how he fits into the group. I'm sorry, DB, but I really didn't like what you tried with this one and was glad to be able to continue immediately on to the next since you didn't do this again. I love your series so I'm just writing this one off as something you tried but found you didn't want to continue. And I'm glad to see that's the case.

One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful. With each Vampires In America book, I think they just can't possibly get any better. I enjoyed this series in the beginning, but the last couple of books have just blown me away. I keep expecting to get tired of bossy, dark, baggage toting, alpha vampires, but let me tell you - it just ain't happening. Aden is absolutely magnificent in this book as he battles all competitors for the title of Lord of the Midwest territory.

I really loved getting his heartbreaking backstory in "real-time" through his flashbacks. She believes vampires are behind the sex ring, and nothing and no one - not even the soon-to-be Lord Aden - will stop her from seeking vengeance. When these two meet in one of the vampire blood clubs, sparks fly as both are shocked to feel such an intense physical attraction radiating between them. As the story unfolds, this couple goes toe-to-toe in a dance in which Sid holds her own, often defying Aden who is most certainly not accustomed to being told "No".

Both are strong, stubborn, and determined to "lead" this dance while guarding their heart and refusing to lose. Aden is the very definition of "sex-on-a-stick" and surprise, surprise: What a great story! I can't wait to continue the series. Oh well, maybe the next one will be more exciting. I am a HUGE fan of the series. Every book before this one has been rated four stars and above so it hurts me to give this one only three; but Aden is deserving of only three stars. Aden didn't have much personality. Outside of his Alpha male, I-am-all-that attitude which he really is , his qualities and characteristics didn't shine through.

I did like his back story though. Sid was ok; not a great match in my opinion. All they did was have sex. I LOVE, love to read about a good roll in the hay but it seemed a lot of this story was fluffed out with sex scenes. Well there wasn't much of a story. I would have liked to have seen more challengers for the territory. I remember the days, in Cyn and Raphael's books, when the plot was so thick and the story was so intense, my heart almost beat out of my chest.

The anticipation of what was going to happen was too much to bear! It managed to do every single thing I hate about some YA novels, but the premise was interesting, which is about its only saving grace right now with me. I'm putting the rest of these books novellas really on the bottom of my TBR pile where I will wait for the day I feel compelled to continue this story.

Hopefully later parts will make me forgive This was my face during this whole thing starting from the very first lines: Hopefully later parts will make me forgive this part because it has potential, but this was not it for me. So many typos in it for it starters. Just another book about a teenage girl with low self esteem who all the other characters think is the next best thing since sliced bread, who then ends up being some lame supernatural chosen one.

Vampire story was not interesting, and this is not a book for feminists. Snow makes out with one guy then repeatedly calls herself a slut because she likes a different guy. They also make a point of pointing out she dresses like a boy and how she should d Awful book. They also make a point of pointing out she dresses like a boy and how she should dress like a girl. I will not bother with any other even though they end on a cliff hanger.

May 17, Delta rated it really liked it Shelves: Read this in the Passionate Bites: Hot Tales of Vampire Romance anthology. Blood and Snow is a unique blending of the Snow White fairy tale and a vampire romance I am in for the next one! The series isn't organized in GR. It was apparently first published as a serial, parts of which have been compiled into books or seasons.

Book 1 is a compilation of Volumes 1 through 8. I need to find a reading order or guide This is not a book. This is a collection of some halfway thought out ideas for a new take on the vampire genre and put together as little short stories that together, sort of add up to a full book, except for the fact that things happen constantly in it with no rhyme or reason. There is no clear rise and fall of the action. The first four pieces were disjointed and confusing with far more questions being asked and never answered, but not in a good way. The cliffhanger ending is just sort of abru This is not a book.

  • A History of England in the Eighteenth Century - Volume VII.
  • See a Problem?.
  • Asia Pacific Dynamism 1550-2000: Volume 1 (Routledge Studies in the Growth Economies of Asia);
  • The Path (Werewolf Romance) (Resurrection Mill Werewolves Book 1)!
  • Vampires DVDs | eBay?

The cliffhanger ending is just sort of abrupt and should be compelling, in theory, but instead embodied everything that was frustrating about the novelettes as a whole. There was some potential in this book, however poorly executed, which is why it gets 2 stars from me. Moral of the story is that I should stop wasting my time reading crappy cheap novels on my kindle and should instead try something of quality.

I've written 3 reviews of this already, but Goodreads ate them all when I hit save, so I don't have the heart for another. I really kinda hated this, so much of it is illogical and makes zero sense, and the rest is comprised of fairly horrible characterization. Imagine Twilight's Bella as an even klutzier, super-tomboyish, sparkly vampire, and you have the premise of this book. Only instead of werewolves and vampires, you have the 7 dwarves reimagined as teenage boys and Cindere Where to start Only instead of werewolves and vampires, you have the 7 dwarves reimagined as teenage boys and Cinderella as Snow's fashionista BFF.

In addition to being so klutzy that Workman feels like she has to remind us so practically every other page seriously, it's a wonder she survived toddlerhood and has not plunged headfirst down every single flight of stairs she's ever encountered , Snow lives entirely by herself, in a house with an empty refrigerator and apparently no clothes of her own to speak of, since everything she wears ostensibly comes from the family of boys next door.

Her father and stepmother seem to have moved to St. Bart's without her, leavng her without even an allowance, from what I can tell. None of which makes any sense. I don't quite detest this book which is really 4 novellas combined , but I come awfully close. Don't even get me started on the whole Chace Charming thing, who may or may not turn out to be Snow's love interest or nemesis, since he made exactly one appearance for about a page and a half in the beginning of "book" 1. But after finishing the first one, I was sorely disappointed. It seems like in a lot of these books you either get a whiny, Mary Sue or an over-the-top bitch.

A girl can have a rough edge without being a mean girl and she can also have insecurities without being a clueless little damsel Then we have her seven male best friends who are all super into her and would do anything for her. And the ending was pretty abrupt. I used "whispersync" to get through this story. While physically reading this book, it wasn't too bad. However, while listening to this book, it was horrendous. The narrator was so terrible she killed momentum, entertainment, and my interest. I should have just continued to read it, but I wanted to get it wrapped up.

As for the story itself, it wasn't awful. I don't think it quite reached it's potential, but it is a series, and it needs to keep readers coming back after each installment. The stor I used "whispersync" to get through this story. The story was very juvenile, and although RaShelle Workman was attempting to mash-up vampires with the idea of Snow White, there were a lot of characters to keep track of. I'm having a hard time following their motives and intentions.

Although this book wasn't for me, it very well could just be what someone else is looking for. Decide for yourself if you want to read this series, and if you choose to, read it don't listen. Dec 08, Victoria rated it did not like it Shelves: I was so confused. There's the mc, her female best friend, her 7 male best friends and the new boy in school. At no point did I know who was who.

I wasn't really feeling the story either but I'm not sure if that was because it wasn't great writing or if I was just too confused. I'm sure some people would be less confused and enjoy it but it's not for me. Apr 18, Eugene Gorodinsky rated it did not like it Recommends it for: If you enjoy the sound of nails scratching the blackboard you have a chance at reading more than ten pages of this book. Seeing as how I'm not a fan of books grating on my nerves I was unable to pass the challenge.

If I were to pinpoint the main problem, it would probably be the protagonist being called Snow White in a non-fairytale setting. I wouldn't mind if that was her nickname, however, ten pages into the story and I still don't know what to call the girl apart from the obvious. You make choices, and you go along the story I even died once! Never eat the apple, Snow White! However, the book was juvenile and needed some editing. Also, who names a character Professor Pops? And a man that adopts seven boys? Someone is going to look into that Fun to do to see what the choices lead to, but it was too short and too strange to be something I would continue reading without the game.

The game made the book readable, and not vice versa. Jan 11, Jade Christyn rated it it was ok. I got this the other day from Amazon for free. I thought this could be perfect for some reasons. So, I say, go for it! I decided to read it while having a break from Norwegian Wood and my current reads. Bu I got this the other day from Amazon for free. On the other hand, I liked the elements of magic and vampires. Oh, and the inclusion of Japanese culture as well. I must say, I was intrigued enough to want to read the next volume.

Her sixteenth birthday is rapidly approaching, and her weird dreams of being bitten by a vampire and eating a heart are only dreams It's mentally Salem, Massachusetts is a place where magic is expected to happen. In a nutshell, this book kept my attention but not without a slew of bad writing and young adult cliches. An instant blossoming love. A plain character with a hot friend who is inexplicably still their friend. A random vampire appears!

Blood and Snow

A character with only one parent A girl who doesn't realize that boys are attracted to her until way late in the game -There's also a few things within the writing that made me dislike this story. For instance, if I read about the scent of peppermint coming from a tea, or a boy, or anything one more time, I would have flipped my table. There was also way more talk about how the characters looked or dressed as opposed to their personality. It gave the book a shallow, plastic-y vibe to it, and I didn't learn anything about the characters at all. There were also instances of poor word choice, such as keys 'coincidentally' being on the wall marked "keys" and the quote "It's icky, and it makes me feel icky.
