It may be his congratulations on fatherhood or he is in awe of the bringer of death. Nature will eventually prevail over all human things.

The female raven feeds their young with worms possibly plucked from the freshly dug grave in the bassinette. If the Infant had been living, eventually he would be worm food that would then feed the ravens. The morbid infant gives the viewer a toothless grin and experiences no distress from being birthed as a living child would. He even takes a moment to decide if he wants to help push himself out with one hand or hold himself back with the other hand.

He is considering his ambitions balanced with his trepidations about life. The detached doctors pull at him with their sterile forceps hopefully doing more good than harm. The anonymous nurse enthusiastically stretches out her hand to receive the infant, shroud him and place him in his warm, safe grave. All of this is revealed by the harsh surgical light setting shadows in sharp contrast causing morose but even the shadows are merry because only festive colors are used to create them. A whimsical style is used on areas that did not require anatomical correctness to keep the tone comical and humorous.

He was born on November 1st because in many regions in Mexico that is Dia de los Inocentes Day of the Innocent when infants and children are honored.

Only on this day can he thrive and celebrate his fleeting existence. Are we spiritual beings or just alien to our environment? This work is about possibilities. In my painting the soup is the beginning of humans, exclusively, as dinosaurs are already thriving.

Many beings came before us and many will come after us. Growing out of the soup swamp and up around the church bones are vines shaped like six human figures. These represent the Archetypes of ideal beings. The figures exist more in the negative space between the vines as a reference to them not being corporeal. They are perfect spiritual being that humans may have had the potential to become perfect death, perfect love, etc. The accident was caused by two foolish aliens out for a drunken joy-ride.

Their ship is a sharp intrusive penetration into this natural, balanced environment.

Their movement into the painting via a scorched-earth diagonal cut contrasted aesthetically with the buoyant, surfacing of the curious and annoyed leviathan from below. They appropriately arrive through Death who has possible been cut in half by their ship if he has not already been recycled by the pterodactyls who have built a nest up above. Will the introduction of the toxic sludge leaking out of their ship and their decaying carcasses be the end of humans before they begin?

Or will their presence just cause us to have a uniqueness that we can still balance with our environment? I ask you, as the viewer, can you think of a better answer for why we are so different than any other creature on earth and why we seem so bent on the destruction of the only planet we have? In the foreground there are two caterpillars on a flower.

The aliens have been reincarnated into them. They must now be born on this planet again and again to help fix the problem they caused. The mad scientist shows you that you are running out of time. As the corpses rot and the green goo seeps out the cracked container, the raven longs to eat the decayed flesh and rejoice in your defeat.

Egor looks on with judgmental criticism, as the white chest pieces brace themselves for the logical mind to win once again. It is a sarcastic commemoration of an incident that occurred in The State Fair officials turned in an unlicensed lemonade stand that was across the street from the fair grounds. The stand was run by two children on their own front lawn. This is an over dramatization of events. It will then be reviewed by Lulu Staff to determine the next course of action.
