When they get out of their pens, they usually cant wait to go home after some time exploring. Cows put in a grueling min of work each day. They spend the other time eating, lounging, chewing cud, enjoying the sunshine, playing with friends, sleeping- hardly a hard lifestyle. We humans are slaves to the system but the cows on the other hand have a pretty chill lifestyle. Nice picture at the top!

I live in Holland, and one of my favourite pastimes is recreational bicycling in the countryside, much of which, particularly in the west of the country, is taken up by dairy farming. The vast majority of dairy farms here are still family owned and operated, and I sincerely hope that this remains viable for the foreseeable future. What happens to the male calves?
