Too Little, Too Late (Situations & Circumstances Book 1)

The strong storyline and twists and turns won't allow me to forget her. I found that right here in Too Little, Too Late. From the first couple of pages alone, I had to tell my son, "give mommy one second sweetie". You will want to read every chance you get with this page turner. I am officially a true fan!!! This book had so many twists and turns, I didn't know what the outcome was going to be. In the end, my heart was broken. I didn't want it to end that way. Ready for the next book.

This is the first book I've read in a year and it didn't disappoint. It was good from the first page to the last. I laughed I cried. It was so good I don't know if I want to read part two. I finished it in two days. Kindled part two, reading that now. See all 21 reviews. Most recent customer reviews. You can see that the nurturing and love given to her by Hosea has paid off, until his past shows up in the form of Natasia Redding, who is Jasmine taken to another level. For nine long months, I've been failing. The male protagonist, Charlie Parker is leading a vague life coping up between fatherhood and working days constantly. The scenes with the children were so accurate, there were so many laugh out loud and awe-so-sweet moments. Together, as a team of five, with Katie the cook included, they shared love and laughter, lessons and heartbreak. Like all good books, particularly those written by Staci Hart, there is angst and twists that keep the story moving forwards.

As a reader I was desperate for a happily ever after, left anxious turning pages as fast as I could to reach the end. I was so wrapped up in A Little Too Late, so in love with the characters and their darling story that I never wanted it to end. I would have her, and she would have me. It's the sort of book you read again and again, slipping into Hannah and Charlie's sugary world and leaving the real one behind. It's fantastically written, just the right length, and a passionate romance readers won't be able to put down.

I have a bit of extra sentimental love for A Little Too Late as I've been raised with my Swedish heritage surrounding me always and Hannah and her family felt so similar to mine. It made me cry a bit and it made me happy, in fact this book will be one of those I read at Christmastime, when I miss my Grandmother the most. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. Oct 13, Lisa rated it it was amazing Shelves: I adore her style so much and I will keep coming back for more of this awesomeness because she consistently delivers.

The nanny and the newly single dad…yes, please and thank you! Plus — the dad is Charlie! Hannah…good lord the girl is basically perfect and I loved every single thing about her. I loved her kind and caring heart…how wonderful she is with children and adults too! Oh, and yummy Dutch treats. It was one of the things that made me instantly warm to her. Tell me you want me. I closed the inches with the slightest of movements and pressed my aching lips to his. I loved him in A Thousand Letters and after everything that wench did and continued to do to him …he completely deserved to find love and happiness and peace.

I already knew his story was heartbreaking but getting all of it…from his POV…really opened up my eyes. It made me hurt for him that much more because a wonderful guy got the shit end of the stick for way too long and the reality of that just blows big time.

He was a good guy who got the wrong girl pregnant and instead of doing any number of crappy things that a lot of guys do…he stuck around. This book is not just about Charlie finding love but also learning who he is and what he really wants, which was almost as rewarding. They basically held me in the palm of their hands for a few hours and I never wanted it to end.

I understood their logic…I felt their anguish…and in the end, I gave zero fucks because…none of that mattered when you knew what they were feeling. And what they were feeling was pure…and real…and beautiful. I loved the sense of peace and home and belonging I got with them. Gah , there is so much to love about Hannah and Charlie…and it was all of the little things that made them so unique and special to me.

The extra effort he made for her, baking in the kitchen together, going out with the kids or even just sitting by the fireplace…all of it added up to undeniable chemistry that grabbed my heart and never let go. You make me feel right, like I can be what you see in me. I just want you.

Too little, too late: Socioeconomic disparities in the experience of living with diabetes

A Little Too Late was just different! Staci created these two amazing and truly good, sweet, kind people…and I fell so hard for them…so when everything happened, it just felt more raw, hurt more profoundly, because I never want them to hurt — they deserve nothing but goodness and love! As much as I loved this story, and trust me — emotionally, it was on point with everything I could have wanted or needed, my only wish was that the timeline could have been extended just a little.

There was a good basis and I more than felt the connection between them, it was so strong, but I just wanted them to get to know each other a little bit more.

She pulled me to a stop on the sidewalk. Because everything you touch is made better. But everything I touch spoils. And I wish I could have always belonged to you and you alone. There was so much happening when everything fell apart, I was wondering how and if everything was going to come together…and then I was crying and basically positive that all hope was lost…but Staci pulled it out and I loved how she made it happen. And the epilogue - gah! Also, I completely forgot to talk about how utterly amazing the title is for the book…like per-fucking-fection and it was just that extra little detail that made me love everything that much more.

Oct 23, 1-Click Addict Support Group rated it it was amazing. The blurb had me wanting to get my hands on it sooner rather than later Oh and that cover "Breathtaking"! Hannah was the total opposite of Mary- kind, sweet and just lovely all around which made it more difficult for Charlie to ignore that feeling. The more I read the m The blurb had me wanting to get my hands on it sooner rather than later She knew they had been through something horrible and she just wanted them to be happy.

I was blown away and left speechless by this beautiful, breathtaking second chance at love story. Staci, thank you for sharing your beautiful jewel with us and please continue to share your amazing talent with us! To me this was more than 10 Stars! Oct 17, Betul rated it liked it Shelves: The reason I picked this one up was because it is a single parent romance.

I have a thing for single dads, and the whole falling for the nanny plot is one of my guilty pleasures. However, A Little Too Late didn't really meet my expectations. There were a couple of things that didn't work for me. He unfortunately didn't stand out to me at all. He didn't intrigue me or made me want to know more about him. As for the nanny, Hannah, she is very sweet and polite and couldn't do anything wrong. She was a bit too perfect in my opinion.

See a Problem?

There were some things she kept to herself but it didn't take away from her angelic personality. However, I found Charlie and Hannah to be a great match. Especially after reading about his ex-wife. Charlie really needed someone caring and sweet in his and kids' lives. The kids were cute and curious, and I loved how Hannah interacted with them. But I also wanted more development in Charlie and Hannah's relationship. It was just hard for me to fully connect to them. What I did like was that Hannah is from the Netherlands I am as well , so there were a lot of things familiar to me which was nice.

I also liked Staci's writing and it made me curious about her other books. I think A Little Too Late was a bit too tame for my taste, but I think romance lovers will enjoy this story. Oct 18, Yvette Booksandbandanas rated it it was amazing. Staci Hart just writes romance unlike anyone out there. She is a master at wheeling you in and making you feel the angst, the heartache, the raw intensity, the obsession, the hurts.

A Little Too Late is an exemplary love story that showcases the beauty of love, hope and new beginnings. A must read for any romance fans. Oct 10, Anahita rated it liked it Shelves: Charlie was Elliot's brother in law in last book and the story is about him and his kids and their au pair nanny, Hannah: This was a well written, sweet story. There were parts of this story that felt a little repetitive and then others that felt too rushed, but overall it wasn't that bad and I enjoy reading it. Charlie has been struggling with his life, his wife and their kids. He has lost direction on how to raise his kids after Mary left him and now he desperately needs help.

Then comes Hannah with her perfect smiles and serene voice and suddenly all is good in Charlie's house. The more time Charlie and the kids spend with Hannah, the more they are drawn to her. She was only supposed to be the nanny but to the kids who never knew a mother's touch and a man whose heart has been broken too much, Hannah Charlie has been struggling with his life, his wife and their kids.

She was only supposed to be the nanny but to the kids who never knew a mother's touch and a man whose heart has been broken too much, Hannah became everything. This adorable pure Godsend man!!! I am again in eternal love with another of Staci's books.

My heart broke for Charlie's helplessness but to see him grow with his kids was an incredible experience. He knew he made mistakes and was ready to do anything to correct them. That's a good man right there. Also how freaking hot was Charlie??? His internal tortured self made me swoon. Yes, I have issues. The story is more than a simple man meets woman. The kind of love Staci portrayed in ALTL is to me one of the purest forms of love and to witness that is a fortune. Nov 06, Mysza rated it really liked it.

Oct 24, Morelia Strandedinbooks rated it really liked it. Staci, you outdid yourself with this one! That was too damn cute and I appreciated such a heart-warming romance without all of the unnecessary drama we sometimes get in a few romance reads. This story was times perfectly and was just so beautifully written! My heart is full! You know what I'm also sure of? This novel will also join my list of favorite books ever. I don't even know where to start because this book, the story and the characters were everything! Staci Hart has a way of conveying angsty feelings with a few but deep words.

I even shed a few tears toward the end because it was oh so sweet. I will definitely think about the characters and their journey for a long, long time. I really enjoyed getting to know Hannah, especially because she was from Holland, or as I like to call it Dutchland. D She not only taught the kids and Charlie a few words here and there in her mother tongue, she taught me too. I talked to my favorite Dutchie on Skype earlier and I was telling her about the book and the new words I learned.

My favorite is definitely kwarktaart.

I think that Hannah is the perfect au pair: Although I found it odd, that she never went out shopping or out for drinks with friends, or maybe Staci Hart decided not to show this side and instead only focus on the love side of the story. Charlie who was a great dad but didn't really feel like he earned this title, did the biggest transition in the story and I really admire him for it.

He was a total workaholic which he still was in A Little Too Late. When Hannah arrived, everything changed and he finally realized what he missed out on all those years. Of course one could argue that it's only because of Hannah and not because of his two kids that he changed but I see it a little differently. He did in fact change for his kids because he loves them unconditionally and Hannah was only the trigger of it.

Nightcore - Too Little Too Late

Charlie was lost for so many years and he just didn't know how to do it otherwise. He needed a push and that push came from Hannah. A Little Too Late is a beautifully, heart-wrenching read and perfect for those of you who love romantic and angsty stories. You won't be disappointed. Feb 16, Mandy rated it it was amazing Shelves: This was a great single parent romance! Charlie is a separated single dad. Through Hannah, he sees what's important in life. I loved the connection between these two and the easy friendship. The romance is really sweet and their are some really good steamy moments. This one had a bit of angst and drama but just enough to keep me interested. I really loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a single dad romance!
