May 20, E. I really liked this book.
Anyone who has made it this far in the series knows by now that Chris and Tanya will be able to plow trough just about any obstacle with near ease. In the first book or two, that kind of bothered me. Now, I just accept it and enjoy the ride. We start as Chris is exiled from the Coven to keep him safe.
I liked this approach and wish it would have gone on longer. The scenes with Stacia and the other pack were really good, and I think it gave Chris and the Author a chanc I really liked this book. The scenes with Stacia and the other pack were really good, and I think it gave Chris and the Author a chance to grow without the vampires overshadowing everything. Something happens to Chris at the end of this segment that has long lasting consequences. I had hoped that Grim would be in charge completely while Chris got his feet under him. That would have been a hoot. This book flows better than the previous book, which felt almost like three short stories.
The ending promises an increase of scale and scope for Chris and Tanya. I will eagerly await the next installment. I read the book in about a day, something about Mr. May 27, Kathy rated it really liked it. This is another action packed installment in the Demon accords series. This book brings a lot of major changes to Chris Gordon's life, not all of them good as witchcraft and demons combine to make his exile from the Coven not exactly relaxing. I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the last one. While there have been major changes for Chris and some relationship building most of it has been in a regressive sort of way.
I'll still be happy to pick up the next book in the series but this novel This is another action packed installment in the Demon accords series.
I'll still be happy to pick up the next book in the series but this novel is both a turning point and change in pace compared to the books before it though for some odd reason this book seemed a lot shorter than the previous ones though it most likely wasn't. Aug 05, Tom Boshell rated it really liked it. I've been waiting for the asteroid, kinda thought that would happen.
Also like the blasting the age back into the vampires. Kinda strange that Chris does not handle demons outside of the US. As God touched he would be needed everywhere there are humans and strife, but he stays primarily in the US and only travels just outside of the borders on tangent themes. In theory the demons should be gathering forces outside of the US and only keeping enough activity to keep him occupied, which would be a I've been waiting for the asteroid, kinda thought that would happen.
In theory the demons should be gathering forces outside of the US and only keeping enough activity to keep him occupied, which would be a good idea except that he keeps getting stronger. Sep 24, Elusive rated it liked it Shelves: This one was not a good as the last one. The last 2 Books have been really epic, this one was a bit lame in comparison and left a lot to be desired. I'm not saying it was bad you know? Just that it could have been so much better.
Feb 06, Ian Hall rated it it was amazing. Review to come when i have time. Feb 12, sophia williams rated it it was amazing Shelves: I have been reading this series non stop from the first book and have no intention of stopping until the very end. I like that I learn a little bit more about his characters and their world with each new book in the series.
He makes these side stories and jump to heart of the real story he wants to tell. I love every single book so far. I will follow this series to the very end and hope he has loads more stories to share. Keep it up mister! Feb 27, Dee Haddrill rated it really liked it Shelves: Lots of action ensures, with the familiar snarkiness of Chris, voiced ever so brilliantly by James Patrick Cronin, ensuring fans will love this book as much as previous ones.
A massive change in circumstances occurs mid-way through the book, which will surprise you, and opens the books up to go a different yet, still thoroughly enjoyable way. Make sure you read John Conroe's note at the end as to why he wrote the above-mentioned change May 15, Kevin rated it liked it. I think I've been reading too much of these books. The guy says no, but the girl is still harassing. On to the next I think I've been reading too much of these books. On to the next one.
May 26, David Cable rated it liked it. Disappointing read I really enjoyed the first four books of the series. In this book the hero looses his memory and thus his powers. It is so sad that an author will willingly destroy his main character to please a few fans. I recommend you read the the books up to this book. I will bet the hero gets his memories back so other books can return to normal. At that point start reading again.

Michelle Ang, Jennifer Irwin, Elizabeth Sung, Leslie Thurston, Stephanie Marin, Brian Michelle Ang, Ryan O'Nan, and Brian Jett in Fallen Stars ( "Daisy" in. Fallen Stars chronicles the unexpected friendship between two lost souls: Cooper, a burnt out bartender, who at 36, still isn't sure what he.
There was too much time skipping in a certain part of the book, with almost no in-depth scenes between all the skips. There was also too little interaction between Chris and Tanya and rest of the vampire crew Lydia, Nika, Arkady, etc. I hope Chris won't have regained much of his memories in the next book so we can see more First review! I hope Chris won't have regained much of his memories in the next book so we can see more of him rediscovering some of the characters. This book had a similar style to book 4.
It was like a series of short stories that don't really feel like short stories. I don't know about other readers, but I found this way of storytelling strangely addictive. There was more focus on weres in the first half of the book, which was a nice change. Stacia was also much more present in this book then in the others, something I had expected and hadn't thought I would like, but did. Her interactions with Chris were very interesting and she shows herself to be a great friend to him, not just a love interest; that and her honesty made me love her character.
I know Chris and Tanya love each other, and that they have this whole soulmate thing going, but one of the things that always bugged me in the previous books was the fact that Tanya was hiding certain things about the Coven from Chris which were implied to be bad. Of course, Chris knew she was hiding things from him, but he didn't ask about them, afraid of what he would discover In this book he at least tells her that she shouldn't hide things from him.
I know why Chris and Tanya acted as they did, but Stacia's honesty was so contrasting with Tanya hiding things from Chris, that I ended cheering for her in this book. I like both Tanya and Stacia, and it's sad to know that Chris will end up with only one of them probably Tanya. Conroe can't he end up with the two of them? Rand Al'Thor had three. All in all, a great book.
Jun 16, Jack rated it really liked it Shelves: One review I read talked about spelling errors and editing Great job John Conroe' magic and science have always been one and the same, and you bring this closer as well as terms from quantum physics too video game references,I thoroughly enjoyed these novels they did take me away from this start of summer, as I could not put them down Thanks for having 5 books waiting for me as I now join many who await the sixth in your collection. I thought much of the story seemed like filler and meandered a good bit.
I'm not wild about the amnesia story line. I seems like a plot pacing device and I worry that it's going to subject me to more reiteration than I want to listen to. I don't care for the faux love triangle. It casts a pale shadow on all of the participants: I hope there's a long-arc reason for being dragged through this dysfunction junction detour.
All that notwithstanding it was still an enjoyable read. The long hinted at, and perhaps now obvious, backgrounds of Tanya and Chris are overtly stated and clarified. Stacia's apparent advancing in the story line suggests she will become a more active secondary character rather than a passing third.
The kidnapping arc was action packed. I'm still enjoying the series, but this was not the strongest entry to date. Dec 08, Linnea rated it it was ok. Chris Gordon decides to take a road trip. I can't believe how much the first four books fascinated me.
I have actually read each twice in one week! I really like what Tanya and Chris have come to be. Lydia is a blast!
Nika, Gina and Senka characters are developing very nicely! Now comes the 5th book this book and after completing it I am extremely irritated. The first four books could be from a completely different series. The main characters are changed to the point that I no longer care about them. Feels like the author hates his characters and just wanted to start over, but decided that was too much and instead just wrote this book to end the series.
When he does a werewolf pack asks for help. The Peekskill meteorite crashed into this unlucky car in New York in We'll assume you're ok with this, but you can opt-out if you wish. The ongoing story that is Bethany Anne and her team! He makes these side stories and jump to heart of the real story he wants to tell. The ending promises an increase of scale and scope for Chris and Tanya. You could also say it feels like we are wasting half the book recalling stuff the reader already knows because we have to wait for the friggin' main character to get back to normal and regain is bl Conroe broke the cardinal rule in my book.
End it terribly too. Right now I have zero interest in reading it or any future books by this author. I actually want to delete this book from my kindle and just tell myself that this series concluded with the fourth book. I have been reading this series non stop from the first book and have no intention of stopping until the very end.

One person found this helpful. I've read all the books in this series in about 2 days. I really ought to review the earlier books, but Whenever an Author is too good, this is often the result: You don't review right away in your haste to read the sequel. The one criteria that trumps all others, is if the books is engrossing enough that you forget everything else. I think this is possibly the first time I've seen paranormal phenoma explained with subatomic particles and quantum physics. A good and bad idea in my opinion. A good because it's fresh, and interesting, a bad idea because this brings magic firmly in the domain of science, and makes our mind want to understand the logic of it instead of just using our usual suspension of disbelief.
It smacks too much of Deus ex machina imho, as we know that God's side won't lose of course. For good measure, he added Pagan Gods, and God-lings, and fae, and elves. The variety could be real fun, but I wonder how he'll reconcile all of that with the central position he's given to judeo-christian tradition in his plot.
I've read story where Godly entities where central characters, but the story was well written. This is what matters. I'll give it a five. There are a couple of thing I'd wish where different, but overall, I've enjoyed the read too much to be churlish. One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful.
I mean the whole genre has been done to death, right? This story is different in a lot of ways: The first "born" vampire, and there's just no describing the combinations of God's champion on Earth, Christian Gordon. He is so powerful that every Nation, Government, black ops, military And then with a sniper bullet, all that changes. The last two years, all the love all the battles, all the change is Tanya is beside herself. Will he not remember the most important love pairing in human history? And Tanya finds out why she is sometimes referred to as 'Lahalia'. See all reviews. Most recent customer reviews.
